Why Silex
Wireless connectivity is all they do.
Silex Technology has spent over forty years engineering wireless connectivity for equipment that has to stay connected. Their bridges are deployed worldwide by OEMs and integrators who need enterprise-grade security, predictable roaming, and long product lifecycles.
Purpose-engineered hardware from a specialist — not a sideline product built on a consumer chipset.
Problems We Solve!
Wireless connectivity for devices that weren’t designed for it.
Enabling Ethernet-only equipment to be Wi-Fi ready — without redesign, recertification, or months of delay. An Ethernet-to-Wi-Fi bridge solves the problem at the cable: drop-in deployment, zero firmware changes on the host device, and enterprise-grade security. The product stays exactly as it is. The wireless problem goes away.
Wi-Fi is no longer optional.
Network infrastructure has moved on. Site surveys assume wireless-first. IT teams are retiring structured cabling. End customers expect equipment to connect the way everything else does — over Wi-Fi, with enterprise authentication, centrally managed.
Equipment built around a wired Ethernet port still performs exactly as it was designed to. The network around it has changed.
Why a bridge, not a redesign
Solve it at the cable, not in the device.
Redesigning for native Wi-Fi means radio integration, antenna design, EMC retesting, and fresh regulatory approvals — plus renewed compliance work in regulated sectors.
An Ethernet-to-Wi-Fi bridge sidesteps all of it. The host sees standard Ethernet. The network sees a fully credentialed wireless client. Nothing inside the product changes.
The Silex Ethernet-to-Wi-Fi bridge range
Five models engineered for different deployment profiles — from ultra-low-power mobile use to long-range industrial IoT. All share common Silex DNA: enterprise security, long product lifecycles, and central management through AMC Manager®.

Applications
Talk to our engineering team
We’ll help you specify the right Silex bridge, validate it against your environment, and support you from evaluation through to volume rollout
Will it work with my device?
If your device has a standard Ethernet port and obtains an IP address via DHCP or static configuration, it will work. The bridge is transparent to the host — there are no drivers, no firmware changes, and no software to install on the device itself.
Will it work with our corporate Wi-Fi?
Yes. The Silex range supports WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise with the common 802.1X EAP types (PEAP, EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS), certificate-based authentication, and hidden SSIDs. If your network team can onboard a standard enterprise wireless client, they can onboard a Silex bridge.
How do we configure hundreds of units across a large deployment?
Through Silex’s AMC Manager® platform. Bulk configuration, centralised firmware updates, device monitoring, and automated log collection across an entire fleet — from a single pane of glass. For smaller deployments, each bridge has a built-in web configuration page.
